Here are some thoughts I have on The Magic of Thinking Big by David Schwartz. I’ve had this book lying around my home for years, but only after I saw it recommended by Steve Goltiao, of Ad Inflitration, whom I highly respect, did I start to read this book.
The main thought behind chapter 1 is this: believe you can succeed and you will. Your mind is simply a thought factory, he calls it Mr. Triumph and Mr. Defeat. They are the two bosses who run our minds or “information bank”. It’s up to us to decide who we are going to summon.
When we have problems we rely on past problems to help us deal with the new issues. How we have though about things in the past, is how we’ll think about future issues. By resolving to think positive, we build up a store of positive thoughts that will help us to overcome problems and issues that arise.
Remind yourself regularly that you are better than you think you are. BELIEVE BIG!
You are the director of your own lab, Observe and Experiment, practice this, as most of us aren’t trained on this.
